It is a castle in the countryside, surrounded by olive trees, facing Pomonte area and overlooking at Puglia river valley. The quantity of oil, witnessed by the high thriving mills activity, must have been enormous from the earliest times: the oil was so much that a well (in Italian, pozzo) could not contain it. This is, perhaps, the origin of the name of this castle, an ancient scenario of struggles between the two factions of Bevagna and Todi, the latter who marked for longer its presence in the territory. Here it is possible to admire the architecture of the fortified village and some medieval stunning landscapes.
